A flat pack roof.
This roof can fold out to varying degrees. With a cladding material it will gain strength. (At the moment there is alot of flex horizontally).
I would imagine that the expansion and contraction of the roof could be undertaken, at the discretion of the user, from a standpoint on the ground. Currently, however, the model does not visualise this as well as it could.
Future modelling of this roof will explore the prospects of materiality and the practicality of merging the idea of folding with the formal qualities of some of my previous models, as well as adding the potential to expand and contract in more than direction.
